Arriving from Valencia, the great exhibition dedicated to Joaquim Sorolla, one of the most celebrated painters worldwide, lands in Barcelona to commemorate the centenary of his death.
The exhibition, part of the SOROLLA YEAR programme, can now be visited at Centre d’Art Amatller, a 1,250 square meters exhibition space located in Casa Amatller.
“SOROLLA, UNA NOVA DIMENSIÓ” is a tribute to the Valencian artist through state-of-the-art exhibition technologies. The exhibition is based on a didactic and interactive museography with 360º immersive projections, virtual reality, digital installations, scenographies and other technological resources.
As a novelty regarding the Valencia former exhibition, in Barcelona we count with original paintings by the artist from Museu de Montserrat, Museu Joan Abelló, from Mollet del Vallès, and four private collectors.
A rich and innovative proposal addressed to its most demanding and convinced audiences but also to new audiences, further away from the conventional cultural offer, through a staging of great sensory impact and a rigorous scientific and academic basis.
